I wasn't at school today. School didn't exist to me. And since I, the all-important person in my universe, didn't experience the school day--surely others noticed I wasn't there, right?
Right?
I guaranteed that if I were to ask one random person from each of my classes if he or she noticed my absence, he or she would say "nope."
It's just the way things are--with everybody.

everybody wondered where you were in fiction and poetry workshop that day you were gone...
ReplyDeleteWell then, 1/6. What's that, like .133 percent?
ReplyDeleteNo, but this happens to everybody. The loudmouth could be gone, and nobody would notice. I think it's just odd, that this loudmouth is off at a place totally different from school, and it is recognizably different environment from school (hell, he could be on top of mt. everest)-- yet nobody else notices he's gone.
